It Lives! (Again!)

It Lives! (Again!)

After nearly 5 years of neglected I’ve revived the blog. Although the posts have been in existence over at blog.karlbunyan.com for a few years a lot of the images were broken and it was quite obviously in a state of decline. Is this a blog reawakening or a false dawn? Only time will tell.

A Few Portfolio Links

A Few Portfolio Links

As part one of the long-term “putting myself out there a bit” plan, I’ve put together a mini portfolio site. It also means that the URL doesn’t give a 403 error too. There isn’t much there but at least it’s something to point people to, and hopefully it’ll appear in Google at some point.

Appearance on the Backendy podcast

Appearance on the Backendy podcast

I’ve made an appearance on the Backendy podcast in which I chat with friend and former business partner Darren Beale about flying a plane, Facebook game development and advertising of the past, and various business and business-of-tech type things. You can download the episode here or on iTunes, where you can also subscribe for future …

A New Venture: Wedu Games

A New Venture: Wedu Games

My new venture, Wedu Games, is up and running. Or at least the site is as there are no games finished yet. There are a few things in development, though, including an interactive storytelling table app (that isn’t a game at all) and a stud/hold-em poker hybrid to launch on mobile and Facebook together. Everything’s …

Alton Station Landmark Trust, Summer 2012

Horse Riding in Jordan

Horse Riding in Jordan

I’ve wanted to go to Petra ever since discovering that the temple in Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was a real place. I also like to ride a horse (or at least to attempt to), and preferably somewhere fun and scenic, and so combining the two seemed like a good idea. So, with a …

A board game club in London

A board game club in London

I’ve been going to the board game club London On Board for a few months now and, thinking we needed a bit of a web presence (since there’s almost zero search engine visibility) I put together a one-page website. The website at www.londononboard.com is the result of that and, mainly for the benefit of the …

Edinburgh Festival 2010

Edinburgh Festival 2010

I’m just come back from a weekend at the Edinburgh Festival. As I remembered it from the last time, the town gets filled with leafleters and human statues. Standing in the street and advertising “free comedy in half hour” is almost guaranteed to not get me in the door. But I did get to see …

The Acropolis, Athens

The Acropolis, Athens

Better late than never (perhaps), these are the last of the photos from my trip to Athens late in 2008. Facebook has been starving the blog of updates for a long time and I’ve all but lost the capability to think of anything to say that’s longer than 140 characters. For anyone keeping track, this …
